Our Beidaihe camp is the preferred place for open water sailing, with a pleasant climate, suitable wind, and non-typhoon weathers.

Beidaihe Camp has two bases; Seatopia Sailing Club with a beachfront and Grape Island with a marina. The adjacent bases share the same stretch of water but have different characteristics, making the Beidaihe camp suitable for sailing at all levels.

With more than ten years of development, Beidaihe Seatopia Sailing Club has become a landmark of the Qinhuangdao area with its pristine beaches and clean waters, while Grape Island Marina officially obtained the prestigious RYA professional certification in 2018.

Location

• New Beidaihe District, Qinhuangdao: Seatopia Sailing Club (beachfront) & Grape Island Marina (harbor)
• Seatopia Sailing Club is located on an exclusive beach area with strict safety management and crystal clear water.
• Grape Island Marina is a versatile training area with calm seas within the harbor and open waters outside, allowing for advanced training and serving a wide range of campers with different skill levels.

On-land Facilities

• Seatopia Sailing Club Base: beach club, multi-purpose hall, showers, and locker rooms, outdoor facilities.
• Grape Island Marina Base: floating docks, multi-purpose hall and boat display hall, independent dining hall and bathrooms (the accommodation area is adjacent to the training venue for convenience in changing and bathing).

Camp Safety

• Strict adherence to teaching ratios, equipped with full set life-saving facilities. Emergency vehicle 24/7, the base is adjacent to PLA 218 Hospital, which ensures the base is equipped to handle all emergencies appropriately. 
• Seatopia Sailing Club Base: double security of onsite safety management and summertime governmental security control.
• Grape Island Marina Base: a private island with fully enclosed management, accessible only by a cross-sea bridge.

Accommodation

• Seatopia Sailing Club Base: comfortable 6 person bunk-bed rooms in Seatopia Apartment Hotel with independent bathroom. The indoor facilities are specifically prepared for sailing campers including a wooden bunk bed, washing machine, drying racks, hair dryer, electric mosquito coils, etc.
• Grape Island Marina Base: 6 or 10 bunk-bed rooms with independent bathroom. The indoor facilities are specifically prepared for sailing campers including a wooden bunk bed, washing machine, drying racks, hair dryer, electric mosquito coils, etc.

F&B

• Buffet-style breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the campsite. Fruits, mineral water and dairy products are supplied daily to ensure campers have balanced meals.

Staff Ratio

• Instructor-student 1:6; Counselor-camper 1:8 

Transportation

• Option 1: D-train from Beijing Railway Station to Beidaihe Railway Station. The pick-up and drop off location will be at the Beijing Railway Station square. Camp counselors will be onsite to take care of the campers.
• Option 2: If parents choose to drop off and pick up the campers directly to/from the base, parents will need to inform BSC at least 3 months in advance. The cost will be deducted from the camp fees accordingly.

RYA Curriculum

• Beidaihe is a RYA (Royal Yachting Association) certified base that uses the RYA coaching syllabus. RYA certificate will be issued upon passing the corresponding course stages dependent on the language used to deliver the course.

  We believe in Challenge by Choice, enriching campers’ experience by encouraging them to choose evening workshops based on their own interests. 
• Workshop choices will be provided to parents and campers at least one week before their arrival.
• Due to the contingency of some workshops, the final workshop allocation will be based on the actual circumstances.

• Professional sailing courses: theory, practice, and beach games are reasonably arranged.
• Combination of physical and mental exercise, improvement of knowledge and skills.

• Comfortable accommodation, tasty food and beverage to ensure a healthy and nutritious lifestyle.

• Returning Campers’ Price：
  500RMB off/person/week.
• Newcomers Group Discount: 
  2-person group 200RMB off each/week; 
  3-person group 300RMB off each/week; 
  5-person group 400RMB off each/week; 
  10-person group 500RMB off each/week.

Note

• Anyone (including returning campers, in which case Returning Campers’ discount is also applicable) can initiate a group for Newcomers group discount, but the rest of the participants in the group have to be new campers.
• This is the only group discount for this product.
• Newcomers group discount will be refunded to each group member in the beginning of September at the conclusion of all Summer Camps.

Fees Include

• Activities (all water sports and onshore activities)

• Certificates (certificate of completion; International sailing certificates will be issued to the campers who passed their respective courses.)
• Memento badges or medals (dependant on the result of closing regatta).

Cancellation and Refund Policy

• 30 days prior to the starting date of the camp, 100% refund 
• 14-29 days prior to the starting date of the camp, 50% refund 
• Within 13 days prior to the starting date of the camp, no refund will be given, but may reschedule the camp (valid for 2 years)   
• Before the start of the sailing camp, if the sailing camp is postponed or canceled due to unforeseen circumstances such as natural disasters and government actions, Party A shall refund Party B the fees paid in addition to the expenses incurred.
